Dusit Doha Hotel & Suites is looking for a professional, confident, and guest-focused Assistant Manager – Restaurant Head Hostess to join its Food & Beverage team in Doha, Qatar. This is an exciting hotel job in Doha for a hospitality professional who understands restaurant operations, guest relations, team coordination, and luxury service standards.

The Assistant Manager – Restaurant Head Hostess will play an important role in creating an excellent first impression for restaurant guests. The position combines leadership, host/hostess responsibilities, restaurant coordination, and guest service. The successful candidate should be confident communicating with guests and colleagues while maintaining a warm, professional, and organised approach throughout the operation.

Dusit Doha Hotel & Suites has actively recruited Food & Beverage professionals, including restaurant management and hostess positions, reflecting the importance of guest-focused restaurant operations within the property.

In this role, you will assist with the smooth daily operation of the restaurant, coordinate guest seating and reservations, manage the hostess team, monitor guest satisfaction, and support the restaurant management team in maintaining high service standards. You will also work closely with service teams to ensure guests receive efficient and welcoming service from arrival through departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations and service coordination.
• Lead and supervise the hostess team to maintain professional guest service standards.
• Welcome guests warmly and provide a polished first impression.
• Manage guest seating arrangements, reservations, waiting lists, and table allocation.
• Coordinate closely with restaurant servers, supervisors, kitchen teams, and management.
• Monitor restaurant flow and ensure efficient table turnover without compromising guest experience.
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and service concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate reservation and guest information.
• Support VIP guest arrangements and special occasions.
• Train, coach, and motivate hostess team members.
• Ensure restaurant entrance and reception areas remain clean, organised, and presentable.
• Assist with staff scheduling and daily briefings when required.
• Maintain excellent communication between the hostess desk and restaurant operation.
• Follow hotel policies, restaurant procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Support promotional events and special dining experiences.
• Contribute to a positive and professional Food & Beverage working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Head Hostess, Senior Hostess, Restaurant Supervisor, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar hospitality position.
• Experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or international hospitality environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant guest service and front-of-house operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and confident personality.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy restaurant periods.
• Guest-focused attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Previous leadership or team-supervision experience.
• Good English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation systems is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
