As a Mixologist, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality cocktails, recommending beverages, and creating memorable experiences for resort guests. You will combine creativity, technical knowledge, and outstanding customer service to deliver beverages that meet the resort’s luxury standards.
Job Position: Mixologist
Key Responsibilities of a Mixologist
- Prepare and serve classic cocktails, signature drinks, mocktails, and other beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Create innovative cocktail recipes using quality ingredients, fresh fruits, herbs, and suitable garnishes.
- Welcome guests professionally, understand their preferences, and recommend appropriate beverages.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of spirits, wines, liqueurs, cocktail techniques, and current beverage trends.
- Ensure the bar area, equipment, glassware, and storage facilities remain clean and organized.
- Monitor beverage inventory, check product quality, and report stock requirements.
- Follow responsible beverage service practices and all applicable hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to deliver personalized service and improve guest satisfaction.
- Process orders and payments accurately while following resort procedures.
- Support beverage promotions, special events, and customized guest experiences when required.
Qualifications and skills:
- Candidates should demonstrate a genuine passion for hospitality, beverage preparation, and customer service.
- Previous experience as a Mixologist, Bartender, or in a similar beverage service role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, beverage presentation, and mixology techniques.
- Experience in a luxury hotel, five-star resort, or upscale restaurant is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Professional grooming, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, workplace safety, and responsible beverage service.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Willingness to work in an island resort environment and cooperate with a multicultural team.
