Key Responsibilities of a Housekeeping Supervisor
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations and ensure efficient completion of assigned duties
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to maintain hotel cleanliness standards
- Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping attendants to deliver outstanding performance
- Coordinate room cleaning schedules with the front office and other hotel departments
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, cleaning materials, equipment, and linen inventory
- Respond professionally to guest requests, complaints, and special housekeeping requirements
- Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate necessary repairs with the engineering department
- Maintain accurate housekeeping reports, inspection records, and staff duty schedules
- Support management in improving departmental productivity and guest satisfaction
Qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping operations, preferably within a four-star or five-star property
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is an advantage
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and housekeeping equipment
- Ability to supervise employees and manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities
